Using Groups with SCIM (Professional Plan Only)
Permissions based on groups uses SSO/SCIM, which is only available on Professional tier plans. Contact us at team@tettra.co for more information.
One of the biggest benefits of SCIM with Tettra is the ability to set up groups in your directory, and sync those in Tettra.
This allows you to easily create categories in Tettra that are visible only to certain teams. For example, you could have a category in Tettra only for your IT team:
You must have set up SCIM group sync with your SSO/SCIM provider and Tettra in order to turn this on for your team.
Step 1. Team settings
Click your team's name on the upper left corner of the screen to access the dropdown menu. Click Team settings.
Step 2. Connect Groups
On the team settings page, go to User groups - you should see the groups from your SSO/SCIM provider synced here.
Step 3. Edit category
Navigate to or create a new category and click Edit category from the kebab menu:
Step 4. Choose users
In the category settings, make sure your category is set to Only certain people and groups. Click the dropdown to see a list of individual users and groups to pick from.
Step 5. Update category
Once you're done, click Update category, and your permissions will be saved.
